What Reddit says about Skytech Gaming
Skytech gets mixed but mostly fair reviews on Reddit. Most people agree you're getting a solid CPU and GPU for the price, often on sale, which makes it one of the better value prebuilts for gaming. The common complaints are the cheap parts they save money on, like budget PSUs, basic motherboards, weak stock cooling and sometimes single-channel RAM.

“i love my pc from them, got a pc builder 5090 and 9850x3dand it came perfect and i would buy it again. gpu never goes past 59c even with boost on”From thread: Anyone have experience with buying from Skytech Gaming? ↗

“I got an Azure 3 a week before black friday with 5070/14700k/32gb and I’m really happy with it so far. MB with mine is an ASRock B670M cx. The components seem to vary a bit based on what they have in stock. I saw someone else that had basically the same build but with a gigabyte mb”From thread: Anyone have experience with buying from Skytech Gaming? ↗
“Just bought their Aqua model from Walmart during the Black Friday sale for $1949. I read some very positive reviews about Skytech so I’m optimistic about their prebuilts. I had also considered MSI (less than optimal CPU) and Cyberpowerpc (Walmart deal but read a lot of mixed reviews about insufficient cooling and/or PSU so was skeptical)”From thread: Anyone have experience with buying from Skytech Gaming? ↗
“I just picked up the Azure 3 9800x3d / 5080 / 64gb model. Im pretty confident in them overall given what I’ve seen. Also make sure to apply all three codes to further discounts. Use PayPal 5% off skytech and Rakuten 2% back. I also got this model much cheaper even before the discounts were applied at 2599.99. Got lucky I guess. I bought it on Sunday and got a FedEx account alert it was sent out today (my order didn’t update on the site however at the time)”From thread: Anyone have experience with buying from Skytech Gaming? ↗
“They're like any other prebuilt brand. I had one from 2018 and recently upgraded the motherboard, CPU and ram. It worked just fine even before the upgrade.”From thread: Anyone have experience with buying from Skytech Gaming? ↗
“Just bought the king 95 9800x3d w/ 5070ti from their website. You can use three of their discounts in tandem and so the price came out to $1930.”From thread: Anyone have experience with buying from Skytech Gaming? ↗
“I snagged one of their 011 Vision builds. This is my second computer from them and they've always treated me well. Its the 9800x3D 5080 build. Snagged it when black friday + other discount codes were stackable. So far the airflow and temps are great! But I admit, I live in a northern state so my office is chilly this time a year and the air being pushed around is as good as AC lol”From thread: Anyone have experience with buying from Skytech Gaming? ↗
“It's very obvious they are pros at what they do, it would have taken me forever to do the same thing and make it look as nice as they did.”From thread: Just ordered a custom high-end pc build from Skytech gaming, I've read mixed reviews, so I plan to keep reddit updated with my experience ↗
“I just received my azure 3 plus r 7 7800x3d MSI 5070ti 32gb ram 1tb SSD they gave me a gigabyte b650 micro motherboard(my first pre built had a micro motherboard so eh) heilos 850w gold PSU. Setting up was a breeze. It came in only one box which surprised me. The pc traveled across the country so being a little banged up is expected. So far after 4 days I'm absolutely in love with this PC. I hope nother happens to it because I'm in absolute love with it.”From thread: Just ordered a custom high-end pc build from Skytech gaming, I've read mixed reviews, so I plan to keep reddit updated with my experience ↗

“I have a skytech, and it is phenomenal. Got a 4090 build back in September, was originally $3400 but found it on sale on newegg for $2800 at the time. I’d definitely buy from them again.”From thread: Anyone ever heard of skytech and how is this build ↗
“I got a Skytech viper a month ago and it's great, they updated drivers and bios right out the box, Expo is enabled too so Ram ran at the right speed. However the one thing that came up in my research is they glue your cables to the motherboard and it might be an issue if you want to replace the MB yourself one day. Apparently it's an electronic safe glue that's easily removable, alot of companies use to not have cables come loose during shipping. They also packaged stuff well , doubled box, expandable foam etc.”From thread: Anyone ever heard of skytech and how is this build ↗

“I bought one for my son three years ago and it's been rock solid ever since. I think there are plenty of cheaper reliable options on here if you lurk for a while, but if you want something good and it's worth the price to you, go for it.”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗

“IMO they are about on par with most “reputable” prebuilt makers. There is bias on here because we are exposed to people’s extreme experiences. On average you would probably get a working system. The more important thing for prebuilt manufacturers is how they handle warranty claims, repairs, and support. Most prebuilt companies cheap out of motherboard(not the biggest deal) and the power supply(doesn’t mean they are always bad, just means reliability can be inconsistent).”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗
“I received mine. The delivery is smooth for me. Packaging is adequate with lots of foam and padding. Everything works for 1st turning on, and it's still doing well. My MOBO is MSI Pro-B650 VC Wifi. It came with a 1tb Spatium M450 SSD and MSI 4070ti. I added 2 more SSDs and transfer Window to a new one w/o any problem. No complaints from me so far.”From thread: Skytech Gaming? ↗
“Its still doing great. Runs everything I've thrown at it. My only complaint is that they wired the fans incorrectly so anytime i would turn on the PC they would blow 100% no matter what I did in bios or with Fan Control and were extremely loud. But after rewiring them correctly (Skytech customer support walked me through it) its been great. Only thing ive done is switched out the stock fans for some artic p12 cause they look better and are quieter.”From thread: Skytech Gaming? ↗
“My bro and I got the skytech prebuilt with a 3080 during the pandemic as at the time the only way to get a 3080 was with a prebuilt. The prices at that time were reasonable. I had to replace the cpu cooler bc my temps got up to 90-100 c. The tempered glass panel for the case exploded so I replaced the case. Overall though it was a good purchase for me and got me to survive the pandemic for sure.”From thread: Skytech Gaming? ↗
“I know a couple people who have them and I haven’t heard any complaints. Gamers nexus did a couple reviews on their prebuilts, I know in particular one was extremely favorable, and the other was negative. Their prices seem pretty good as far as prebuilts go.”From thread: Skytech Gaming? ↗
“skytech is quality but you pay for it”From thread: What is the best brand or site for a prebuilt pc ↗
“I bought a Skytech Gaming Azure 3 for $1399 on Amazon last week. It has a 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5, 5060ti 16GB, 1TB nvme, 650W Gold psu, and a 360mm AIO. The case is a mid-tower. Bigger than I had specced for myself, but all my parts came out to about $1325. Buying a prebuilt for close to that price made perfect sense to me. I think they had the same system with 9060XTs for about the same price. I’m super happy with the system. And Amazon made delivery super easy. Looking at newer video cards jumped the price up quite a bit, and I’m happy with 5060ti. I also bought an OLED monitor, and I still can’t get over how good games look on it. (This is my first gaming pc in more than 15yrs.)”From thread: I want to get a prebuilt gaming pc, but I am absolutely overwhelmed. ↗
“I'd go Skytech Chronos”From thread: Who makes the best prebuilt gaming PCs these day? ↗
“I've heard good things about the Skytech Chronos lately. Pretty solid configs and you don't get hit with as much proprietary nonsense. Anyone here actually owned one? Curious how it's held up after a year or two.”From thread: Who makes the best prebuilt gaming PCs these days? ↗
“i bought a pc directly off the skytech website in early february. Got a pc with a 9700x, 360mm aio, b650, rtx 5060 (was meant to be 4060 but they upgraded me), 32gb of ddr5 6000 and a whopping 2 tb gen 4 nvme for only 1060 usd with a coupon code (excluding tax). its been amazing with no issues so far and was incredible value id definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy a prebuilt”From thread: Most reliable websites to buy a prebuilt gaming PC in the U.S.? ↗
“I went through skytech gaming, we bought 2 of them and both came with exact same parts gigabyte motherboards, msi shadow 5080 oc graphics cards. But build quality on both pc's were good and the packaging for shipping was pretty good aswell. If you use skytech I would buy directly from their website as my friends got theres from newegg and they had to pay extra for shipping protection and to have it expedited whenever skytech offered that for free. Also check for coupon codes on the internet and here on reddit. My wife found codes that made the price go from $3,000 a piece to $2,540. As the 3 or 4 coupon codes STACKED. Only nit picky things on them is the rgb control software for the PC as they tried to make it proprietary. But you can disable the feature on it to allow you to use other softwares or just delete it entirely. Also the rgb pin connection going to the mother board was hot glued. Which seems kind of tacky and rushed as they could have used less glue and had a solid connection. I understand why they do glue them down as they are notorious for disconnecting. But regardless I'm very impressed with skytech and I couldn't build a pc for cheaper. All of my friends who have ordered from them have been happy so far as well.”From thread: Most reliable websites to buy a prebuilt gaming PC in the U.S.? ↗
“Huge fan of Skytech. 3 desktops in the last 6 years, and all have been great. The only thing I had to change was some RAM, and that's only because I wanted RBG. Great prices when you find them on sale. I haven't dealt with customer service, though.”From thread: Most reliable websites to buy a prebuilt gaming PC in the U.S.? ↗
“I also just bought a skytech legacy 4. I bought the upgraded one with the gen 5 ssd and 420mm AIO cooler. Don’t sleep on this brand. So far, so good. I bought directly from their website. Bought on Friday. Got here Tuesday and I’m on the east coast. They shipped from California.”From thread: What's the best brand for pre-built desktop gaming PCs? ↗

Common complaints about Skytech Gaming (7)
General comments about the brand that don't name a specific model.
“I bought a Skytech and it was dead on arrival. No customer service help whatsoever, so they can kick rocks. Thankfully Newegg let me return it. I reached out to Skytech to see if I could get some troubleshooting help during the Scamdemic GPU shortage and they left me cold.”From thread: Anyone ever heard of skytech and how is this build ↗
“I actually had to return my Skytech, so guess I’ll be the only one here with a bad experience. Power button wouldn’t work, had to touch a screwdriver to the pins on the inside to even turn it on. GPU came bent along the top and mounting bracket ripped out of the mobo. Trash mobo too and mediocre RAM/storage. Luckily they processed my return relatively painlessly since there was a long delay in my replacement. I wound up going with a Corsair prebuilt instead.”From thread: Anyone ever heard of skytech and how is this build ↗
“When you get a good one sure I’ve had some problems with mine psu repeat failure they refuse to do anything for because I bought it in November of 24 psu failed July of 25 and again May of 26 and they won’t do anything for the failed psu”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗
“Their customer service was pretty lousy, in my dealing. Their site glitched on my order, they raised prices overnight and refused to fill the order. I'd look elsewhere.”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗
“Don't buy from them. I said I wanted a PC for 6k and they wouldn't tell me what brand of parts I would be getting”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗
“im on a skytech rn from abt 2020-2021 and i have to say that i hate this god damn thing so much, i literally just found out my motherboard is from 2018 instead of 2020 or 2021 it also had a bit of cosmetic dmg inside from the foam they used but i didn't rlly care i got this thing for over 2k, i dont think it's worth the money.”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗
“Skytech is hit or miss, id say it was about 50/50 the posts i saw about ppl with their pc having problems with them. But then again, ordering anything like a pc from somewhere can arrive with problems so, its your gamble. My best approach was going with best buy to get the warranty and geek squad in case anything happened. I went with a ROG prebuilt”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗
Neutral takes about Skytech Gaming (3)
General comments about the brand that don't name a specific model.
“Overall it is decent depending on price. You will get a cheap motherboard and probably a lower end power supply. I got a few of these on deal during shortages to get parts and only thing they cheaped out on those was motherboard.”From thread: Anyone ever heard of skytech and how is this build ↗
“Just got an Azure 3 from Amazon on black Friday. It was dropped in transit and tweaked the fuck outta the case. All the parts inside are decent quality Asus b650 mobo. Lexar thor rgb ram ddr5 Montech alpha gold 2 gold PSU (a- on psu tier list) Signalrgb fans and intercooler. Asrock challenger gpu I contacted Amazon who gave me a credit for the case value and then I filed a claim with skytech who sent me a new PC. Luckily it was undamaged 2nd time”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗
“So I bought a Sky tech king95 from Best Buy and the first one I bought had issues to where it would randomly shut off. I decided to just take it to Best Buy and exchange it for the exact same model and that one has been serving me perfectly. My girlfriend liked it so much she actually went with the same. The reason I chose skytech is because with their year of warranty they will actually cover shipping to check the device out, which a lot of companies won’t do and saves you a pretty penny. That’s if of course you have to contact warranty for any reason.”From thread: Is Skytech Gaming reliable? ↗
