Mova

Brand reputation

What Reddit says about Mova

Redditors see MOVA as a brand that offers impressive cleaning features for the price, but with more uncertainty around reliability and after-sales support. Its products can be attractive alternatives to more expensive robot vacuums, particularly during sales. However, buyers should check model-specific owner reviews, confirm local warranty coverage, and purchase from a retailer with a clear return policy. Experiences vary significantly by model and region, so the complaints should not be treated as proof that every MOVA vacuum is unreliable.

“A vacuuming focused option is best for thick and dense carpet. There’s also the dreame d20 pro plus/mova e30 pro plus which are fur focused vacuuming options and will do well with lots of fur.”

“The Eufy s2 only scored a 2.80 in the mopping score. The Narwal flow 2 also scored pretty poorly at 2.66 (however. apparently there was a software update that was not installed prior to testing). I was in a very similar situation to you where I was looking for the absolute best mopping robot with no budget (check my prior posts). I have a mostly tile home with a kitchen that easily shows stains. I settled on the Mova z60 ultra. I believe it is third on vacuum wars (3.66) behind the T90 pro Omni (3.90). Since everyone is recommending the flow 2 I’ll just tell you why I picked this over the flow. Compared to the flow 2 The Z60 has a higher downward pressure (12N vs 17N I believe) and it rotates the mop 30rpm faster. The flow 2 mops with 60 degrees hot water but once the water actually reaches the floor I believe it would be cold anyway. Whilst specs are not everything my experience with the z60 has been very good. Compared to my old Z50 which has the same track mop as the flow 2 with higher pressure (18N) and 30 degree mopping the Z60 performs significantly better. Maybe the roller (instead of track) mop is just more effective at removing stains? Whilst I may be inherently biased towards the Z60, my decision was primarily based upon reviews and experiences with the Mova Z50. If I were you I would get either a z60 ultra (or the newer z70 ultra) or the T90 pro Omni. If you live in a country with good consumer protection laws I wouldn’t bother researching too much as it drove me absolutely crazy sorting through all of the paid reviews. Just try one of them out.”

“Mova V50 for homes that are primarily carpet. Mova z60 for mostly hard floors. Dreame also makes great robots such as the L40. The l40 ultra goes on sale for around $300-400 frequently, it was one of the flagship robots back in 2024 and it still cleans as well as the flagships today. The Mova p10 pro ultra is also a great option and comes in around $300-400 as well and is identical to the L40. The l20 and l10 from Dreame are really old at this point and aren't great options.”

“yeah a few newer ones have the mop extender style now, not just dreame. tried eufy, looked at dreame, wasn’t blown away long term. ended up switching to a mova and the mopping’s been more consistent for me, less streaky on tiles. not perfect obviously, but solid for daily runs. under $800 you’ve got decent options tbh”

“Great post. I had most of the same criteria. For what it’s worth, I ultimately decided to go with the MOVA p10 pro ultra. Factors that tipped me into making that decision: 3 year warranty (plus I opted for additional 3 years in the order on Amazon; 6 years total gives me more courage to try Mova as a “new” brand, that plus it looks to be the same manufacturing as Dreame ( a well reviewed brand) higher pa (I realize airflow is a more important metric) strong reviews on vacuum wars and Just a Dad. (rTings.com was not as enthusiastic, but decent) I plan to really put it through the paces for the next 2 months, taking advantage of Amazon’s extended holiday return window. Good luck with your final decision. I have had Roborocks and think you will be pleased if you stay with the Qrevo Pro”

“I noticed something similar with a tripod stand at home and my MOVA V50 Ultra (a souped-up Dreame X50)! It would hump the stands on day one, either hump or correctly avoid the stands (50/50 chance) on day two, and it perfectly navigated around the legs and followed the edges well on day three. This tripod stand is often moved around so I was pleasantly surprised when it was still able to recognize it was the tripod stand and deal with it appropriately (yet it still doesn't register as an obstacle as a base in the app).”

“I just check the water tanks once a week on my Mova v50, and I do a quick check of the front wheel maybe once a month and change the filter. The dual anti tangle brushes don’t get hair wrap from me or my cats. Vac bag has lasted months. It does have reminders maybe every 30 cycles or something to check the sensors for dust but that takes a few seconds. In the 6 months I’ve owned it running 5 x a week there has only been one time it didn’t complete a cycle or return to the dock on its own and when I checked my house cams, my cat had jumped on it and hit the button to pause it. Also, it can climb thresholds so it doesn’t get stuck on my dining room chairs which have sled legs. Those chairs have been the downfall of many robots. 😂”

“I have a couple of the older or really low end ones and wouldn't really recommend as someone's first vacuum robot because they're all missing some feature or built to a price point with major compromises. Its not worth buying something you can't just trust to do the job and ultimately won't use. I'd put all the current sub $250 robots in this category. There are several Dreame/Mova models that use the Tricut brush (add on) and that's great for a pet household and may push you to the lowest really good price point. Other newer technology by other brands to avoid hair wrap around the main rollers - like having multiple rollers work well too. Modern equivalent of what I have with daily and sometimes multiple route a day use. Eufy 11S - low price bounce navigation robot. I have a 7 year old model and parts are really cheap to keep it operating but it doesn't clean all that well. Using in a low traffic area and still requires daily emptying. Dreame D20 Air Plus - current sub $200 robot. Good vacuum and self emptying into large bag. Obstacle avoidance okay but not great. Not a passable mop. Vacuum very susceptible for hair wrap though, and for that reason hasn't been great in our pet household. Good, but still have to interact with it routinely to clear the roller. This is a daily interaction for me currently as well. Mova P10 Pro Ultra - $350 range robot. Tricut brush available in generic brand for another $20. This is the lowest price point for something that just works without interaction in my opinion. Base station vacuum bag is relatively small for a pet owner with a lot of carpet, but the robot will go without interaction for a week or more with no interaction. Mopping works well. Obstacle avoidance great. I do really like the Dreame/Mova integration with Home Assistant and ultimately that's probably what will keep me with their robots for any future purchases. Its been nice to automate sweeping the litter box area when cats clear out for instance.”

Some of the best vacuuming aside from my old roomba j9+ vacuum only that lives in my basement to clean since it’s all carpeted. The Mova vacuums my main floor carpets and mops pretty well. “Kocham mojego Mova z50 ultra. Mam 3 koty długowłose, żonę i córkę dlugowlose. Mova odkurza i mopuje codziennie, czyści idealnie do krawędzi, nawigacja super, nie zjada zabawek i drobiazgów, mop rolkowy to przełom, myje ciepła woda i podłoga jest błyszcząca bez smug. Zero awarii. Były dwa drobne problemy wynikające z wad konstrukcyjnych ale udało się je załatwić w 15 minut(wjazd do stacji załatwiony 5cm taśmy antyposlizgowej a docelowo wydrukiem z drukarki 3d, mop rolkowy piszczał ale wystarczyło papierem ściernym zmatowic rolki wewnatrz mopa)i już nic się nie dzieje. Jest super, uwielbiam go. Utrzymanie też dużo nie zabiera, dosłownie kilka minut na dolanie wody, wylanie brudnej, czasami oczyszczenie osi kółek z włosów( jak w każdym innym robocie).”

“I would agree with this video for the most part. What I’ve always done is go mid range for more “tried and true” features with robots that have been out a bit and have a good amount of feedback. That led me most recently to the mova p10 pro ultra or whatever the fuck it’s called. I only upgraded because in moving, I have a lot more hardwood and wanted mopping. It seemed like that level of robot was the sweet spot between having more advanced features, cleaning well, being well reviewed, and not becoming a guinea pig for things that may or may not work well. Previously I had the roborock s4 max, same deal, not top of the line when I bought it, but did its job damn well, especially where robots were when I purchased it way back when.”

“I love Just Joshes vacuum reviews. I agree with most of what he exploits. However, his review of the Z60 I thought had some very very biased and subjective points that he stated as “issues” that truly just were not. Example - he complains about the Z60 pausing for an extended period of time and doing nothing. When he shows the clip, you can hear the vacuum announce after 10 seconds that it has completed cleaning and is docking. I feel it’s normal for a vacuum to pause when it’s done with a cleaning cycle. Thats not a performance issue. All of that being said, again, I agree with his basis of this series which is that vacuums should give the consumers more in direct relation to what we are paying. I do also think his standards and expectations are very very high. He knows these pieces of technology are still early stage. He shouldn’t rate them through the lens of a robot vacuum leaving his large home as spotless as an OCD maid who cleans by hand.”

I'd also consider MOVA's V50 Ultra which is better suited for pet households since there's the ability for the robot to choose between regular cleaning solution and a pet-odor neutralization solution! I consider the V50 Ultra to be an upgrade over the X50 Ultra. Alternatively, I'd wait for Dreame's Aqua 10 Pro Track to release, as it appears to be the best overall combination robot vacuum and mop with a roller mop. :)”

I’m willing to drop $1k+ if it works. I’m checking out the roborock, eufy and mova…but honestly don’t know what to try. I get they aren’t perfect. Anything that actually helps is worth the money.
