“I bought a custom built one in 2017, and my current one is from 2023. Never had an issue with either of them. I just replaced the thermal paste in my current pc for the processor as it was stock on the cooler for 3 years. That is it.”

“I bought my first ever gaming pc from them custom built in 2019 (during covid) the computer arrived perfectly assembled (i9 10900kf, 3070 rtx ) and hasn’t had a problem till this day. “I've bought two PCs from them and they have been excellent. My advice is to go with the pre-built ones because it seems every time someone is posting a complaint it's about one they customized and there seems to be an issue with components not being tested that well. Whereas the pre-built ones are thoroughly tested. Also, if you do buy splurge and get the expedited shipping. Last one I ordered on Friday morning on the east coast and I got my PC Monday morning. Also, their financing through Affirm is awesome. Get your dream PC, pay off the loan early and you get an awesome PC and a good credit score. What's not to like?”

“Generally they are fine if they aren’t DOA, my girlfriend still uses my old build from 2019, I will say if you have an aio cooler look into getting a fan imo, my ibuypower aio went out within a year and a lot of people have similar experiences, also I’m not sure if this is common to all, but they used a pretty cheap ssd for that pc, but it’s still going so can’t complain too much”

“I bought my prebuilt from them in 2022 and have nothing bad to say about them at all. I ordered directly from their website, after about a year a fan started to make a little noise so I replaced them. Upgraded the 16gb ram to 32gb. Added an extra 1TB ssd nvme that I got for free from there store using points I got by leaving them a review. My experience with them has been great, I decided on ibuypower because of recommendations from 2 friends. I have also recommend it a few people and no one I know has had any issues.”

“Bought My Ibuypower Ready Build in July 2024, and been working 24/7 basically since flawlessly, Shutdown once a month for dust clean out, and then placed back under its Desk spot. No hardware problems to report, all fans are functioning still fine. Dust cleaned out every single month. Power supply no signs of problems yet, but do plan to replace that soon as i can afford to--hopefully at Christmas. Try to keep system as clean as i can, i do keep it plugged into battery backup, and in General just use it and so far so good. Wanted a Newer Build that was all AMD--AMD Processor, and AMD Radeon video card, with Air Cooler, Ready build was only way i could find a Pre Build with Air Cooler, as if i done a custom ibuypower build, only coolers to choose from there was AIO's, so i made sure to get one with Air Cooler. As my previous Custom Built Intel I7 10700 system was getting up there in age by 2024, and the Air Cooler local place installed for it, wasn't cooling it that well, so made sure to get a Case with Great Cooling this time, Very Decent Air Cooler that keeps temps in check, versus my old system. and very easy to work in Lian Li Lancool 216 Black ARGB Case. **Very Very Very Bad at Installing Coolers myself, so prays this one works perfectly a long time, i tried to upgrade my old Intel 10700 one once, did not go well. Bracket Standoff came off the board, backplate nearly fell down behind the motherboard, and then screw got stuck in the Bracket** I think if i keep it dusted, and such, should last a long while hopefully.”

“Both of my PCs were from IBUY. Only gripe (and I mean the ONLY gripe) I have is that I realized that the cpu cooler in my current setup is outdated and isn’t the best. Not saying it doesn’t work or anything, but I would get significant improvements if I replaced it (and I’m gonna) with just an easy 30-40$ CPU fan. Other than that, both PCs I’ve had from them have functioned fantastically and exactly as advertised. No issues with the purchase, delivery was pretty quick, ready to go out the box. Customer support with them is great from my experience. Honestly they seem like a solid company to buy from. Just examine the peripheral components that aren’t on the main advertised screen since that’s where any and all company’s that sell prebuilt will cut their costs. CPU cooler, power block etc. anything that’s not the attention grabbers like the GPU, ram quantity etc just keep an eye on it.”

“I put together a build for them to make and they did a great job. I've had some issues, but that might be related more to my gpu cpu selection than the quality of ibuypowers service. Their tech support was fast and helped me learn how to fix the driver issues that my combo tends to have. I didnt realize, but after changing a couple settings in bios after understanding what was causing my issue, I haven't had to do any trouble shooting in a while. I got a ryzen 7 9700x with an amd Radeon 9070. Happy with the build and it runs all my games at 100+fps 1440p on max for most all games without framegen ect”

“first off, I no longer buy my pcs at Ibuypower. But thats because I wanted to make my own this time and will continue to create my own pcs from here on forth. I bought all my pcs previously from IBuypower after a ton of research. I owned a desktop which at long last exploded (sparks flew out the back) RIP my 12 year old desktop, you provided gaming until the end of your time :) but to be fair this probably would happen to any pc that was pushed to its limit and beyond so I expected it. I'm actually writing this on my Ibuypower laptop lol. its beefy still and pretty fast despite loaded up with to much stuff. the laptop I bought back in 2012. it can still run games and works extremely well for its age. Customer Service: Ibuypowers customer service is great. I called them up and spoke with them and they went through the process of scaling back and fixing up the PC. It was out of warranty already and didn't expect help, so surprise! both times I spoke with Ibuypower of an issue they helped me both times in diagnosing problems. Ibuypower is a great pc maker, probably provided me with some of the best customer service Ive ever had the pleasure of having. If I didn't get into it/cybersecurity I probably would still buy from them. Id say this is a beginners custom pc, if you really don't know where to start when it comes to building a pc. Ive had no issues with them and could interchange the parts when things went wrong. (had to replace a hard drive at one point due to a failure) overall great pcs, excellent customer service, 1 pc finally died, and one is still going strong. Highly recommend if you want your first custom pc :) I bought it from Canada so it was expensive as f*ck but for the years its provided absolutely worth it. This is a review I should have written years ago, but with 10+ years of using Ibuypower pcs and only 2! its about time I gave them a proper review.”

“Honestly I'd look beyond the CPU/GPU specs and check the PSU, motherboard, RAM configuration, and cooling. Some prebuilts look great on paper but cut costs on those parts. I’ve heard good things about companies like NZXT, Corsair, and iBUYPOWER, but I’d still check the exact model rather than judging the brand as a whole. If the parts are mostly standard off-the-shelf components, that’s usually a good sign for future upgrades”

“I'm a builder, love it, did it since I was a kid and taught my wife. We bought our new computers over these last 12 months. It just makes sense from a $$$ standpoint in most situations right now. Even if you can beat their pricing it won't be by much. So only build if you're specifically wanting the building experience imo. Also, while there are shitters out there, it seems like there's a lot of good prebuilts atm. I picked up mine from iBuypower and it's been perfect other than they really could have gone ahead and put the anti-sag bracket on the 5080 (I gotta mention it I've never had an 80 card!). That being said they might actually be terrible and I've got the one good experience so I wouldn't actually recommend beyond saying my anecdotal experience was good. There's so much competition to look at it feels.”

“No. Prebuilts are honestly probably the best way to get into pc gaming right now. The bigger thing is finding one that doesnt have proprietary hardware. Which is easy enough with the ibuypower pc and other such ones at say costco. Its also sadly the cheaper option for the first time ever... As a word of warning tho make sure everything g is plugged in properly and secure before bootup, otherwise thats the only true way if getting a decent pc without it costing a quarter of a year's salary (over exaggerated for effect”

“I bought a faulty PC from them 6 months ago. The fans and the sound in the PC will go crazy and get loud. It then will randomly shut completely off whenever I'm playing a game. luckily it was still under warranty but they wont pay for the shipping. The shipping was 185 dollars and the PC price was 1200 dollars. So they want me to spend 1/6th of the price to send them back their faulty computer that didn't even last 6 months. That is ridiculous to me and I'll never ever buy one of their products again.”

“My personal experience with them has been immensely horrifying. Bought my pre-built in December 2021, 8 months later they keep sending my PC back with a dead CPU and Mobo. They refuse to compensate or give any explanation as to why they won't abide by the warranty. My PC was DOA and keeps getting sent back DOA. Look at their complaints on the BBB's site. IBP's responses to the customers are sickening. They went as far as to say they are not responsible for making sure I receive a working product. $2,000 for a 40 pound paperweight.”

I would not recommend going through them ever as their customer service didn’t help me either time with anything and sold me a bad computer. “I’ve bought over a dozen pre builds. I’ve learned over the years the best 2 companies rn are cost plus gaming or andromedainsights, they won’t rob you blind like every other company and will use good parts for the psu etc… ibp uses really cheap fans and psu brands that blow within a year, )(raidmax) if you go on the forums you’ll see ppl constantly complaining about blue screens, fans, and power supplies blowing. I got 3 pcs from them, 2 of them blew within a year, the first lasted forever. They are also very over priced much like majority companies. If your buying a prebuilt it should come from andromedainsights or cost plus gaming esp if you don’t know pc specs good enough to find cheap Walmart deals”

“Its that those parts aren't guaranteed to fail just cause they're cheap. I had bought one in 2015 and I never had an issue with any of the components for several years. The point that I replaced it I believe was in 2019. The PC itself didn't have any issues the fact just was the parts were aged by that point. The i5 4690k while strong didn't have enough multi-threads for newer games and it was struggling to run BF 1 for me. Plus I had a card with only 2gb vram. I'd not use them again personally, it wasn't a fast process at all and expensive.”

“Mine has lasted for 4 years now only things I had to change out was the fans and the thermal paste. I will say the fans were a bitch because IBP uses their own fans so when you replace them you have to buy a full set and get a new hub to run them too because their fan adapter pattern is different from everything else that’s you can buy.”

“iBuyPower isn't bad. They tend to use decent parts. Obviously, unless it's some special clearance deal, you can likely build cheaper. Also, if you are going to upgrade something immediately, then you can probably build cheaper.”

“According to IBP, their vendor sent them a run of bad AIO's which have all been removed in the current builds. I've had mine for nearly six months with zero cooling probs or any other issues.”

“For my Slate 5 MR (purchased in November 2021), I got an AsRock Motherboard, TeamGroup DDR4-3200 RAM, Western Digital Blue 1TB SATA SSD, PNY XLR8 RTX 3080 GPU, and a HiTron 750W PSU. I’d say the brand of the components are a good balance of budget with reliability, however the only part I had to replace after 4 months of usage was the AiO/Liquid Cooler. Those tend to be a bit cheap and last and wildly variable intervals before they fail. Mine failed early, but I replaced it with an Arctic Liquid Freezer AiO and it’s be excellent since!”

“IBuyPower uses traditional parts such as Crucial DDR Memory, Gigabyte GPU's, MSI and ASUS motherboards, Western Digital SSD's. They do not use any proprietary hardware, everything is the same as you can get in a store. I have had one for 4yrs and loved it until a bios update just bricked my motherboard.”

“Unless specifically stated, the brand of the parts is likely not going to be known or shared. IBP buys parts in bulk from various brands at various times and will use what they have when making a run of a model. From what I see on that listing, the only think you can bank on is knowing that the cpu is Intel. That being said, when I got a prebuilt from IBP, the parts were decent. Wouldn't say anything was top or the line, but not bottom of the barrel either.”

“It honestly depends. I’ve seen some iBuyPower builds that actually use good parts and have good price/performance. The cheap ones are just asinine.”

“I picked up one used a bunch of years ago and was well- underwhelmed? The build was fine but the original water cooler was no better than air cooling. That was the only thing that was crap. And no this isn't an endorsement. It has been "ok"... but nothing compared to a lovingly self-built rig.”

“ibuypower and cyberpower pcs are really ONLY for lazy people who know computers, you will be fixing their mistakes and they will absolutely allow you to pick out stupid parts but you will pay less than anywhere else. but if you get reputable parts theyll assemble and source it for cheap so if you know what youre doing theyre great”

“I have owned iBuyPower and 2 CyberPower pre-builts. With my limited experience, my take is that there is no general rule on which is best or worst. The components (memory, SSD, PSU, etc), can vary a lot, even for the same model. Obviously they try to reduce cost by going with cheaper components. And sometimes they are also limited to availability of stock. You should go for the best published specs you can afford. At your price range, you won't have a lot of options. GPU (RTX 4060 or equivalent AMD version) CPU Memory size (you are likely limited to DDR4 in your price range) SSD size”
